Another windy ride today. At one point I was on a flat stretch and not pedaling, but I was still doing over 18MPH. Tail winds can be fun.

Riding season is here. Sunny and near 80F today. Windy, but otherwise a great day for riding.

Toasty out there today. 86F beats the previous record by 11 degrees. Unreal for March. Got in 16 miles.

Happy National Ride A Bike Day. First ride since January. Surprising myself thinking "This is the body I used to do 100 miles?"

First ride of the year! 29 miles on a new-to-us route. Pretty good ride.

2/3 of the ride was urban/suburban until we got to the trail. Trail was 2/3 gravel and 1/3 paved. Pretty challenging ride considering the gravel surface, bumpy sidewalks and a 20mph steady west wind that affected the return leg home.

Temp mid 70s and mostly sunny. Got lots of sun which felt good. Not sure if we will make this our standard ride. More to come!

Garmin says ~1000 calories burned and an online calculator says 1400 calories burned. Wow. I get that depleted feeling pretty easily, but I feel OK so far. Dinner is not far away!

34 miles, good ride. Temp low 60s and clear sky. 20mph headwind for ~10 miles. New paved trail for us, we liked it.

73 avg cadence. I remembered to start the Wahoo app this time!

Today was a perfect day for riding here. Upper 60's with almost no wind. But alas, I've been stuck here with the siding contractor.

Back to the old ways of driving my bike down. Bike path is destroyed or covered in mud in a few spots by recent storms.

Got out on the grocery getter for 21 miles today.

49 miles, tough and good ride. I am wiped out!

Our new standard bike path. 10 mile car ride to get to the trailhead is a small inconvenience. The trail is smooth and flat and winds through farmland and small towns.

Upper 70s, no clouds and light wind. We stopped for dinner at mile 32 and appreciated the calories!

I gave my chain a thorough clean and lube before the ride and it was a big improvement.

Seems like the saddle clamp screws might be stripped out of the aluminum clamp block. Second ride in a row they loosened. Need to check it out.

49 miles is a healthy ride. Nice.

We had a *rare* nearly calm day here. Just the slightest breeze out of the NE. It was perfect weather for a ride. I got in almost 33 miles.

Various factors have conspired to keep me off the bike on weekends, and unable to commute so far - but I finally got my first commute of the year in last week, and hoping for another tomorrow! 9-10 miles of rollers in each direction is perfect.
