First Time BMW Owner - Wipers!
First time BMW owner here! This is the first time that I have had to replace wipers since purchasing my 2022 BMW 430i xDrive coupe almost two years ago. I can't find the specs on my wipers in my owners manual and when going to auto stores, they don't have the correct ones due to an obstruction of the windshield washer sprayer. Does anyone have any recommendations for locating the correct size and where to buy? Thanks in advance!

Are you taking it to a BMW dealer for your oil changes and other free services? When my car was still within the first 3 year / 36k miles warranty they replaced my wiper blades for free.

Yes, always serviced by BMW. They haven't offered to do that for me. I'll definitely ask next time as it was just serviced a couple months ago. Tires will be done soon but I need to get the wipers pretty soon with winter upon us. Thanks for the tip!
I just found this site that matches parts by VIN lookup. https://www.oembmwpartsusa.com/ I was trying not to buy them online but I may not have a choice. |

And be mindful if letting them install those for you. I had the experience twice with my previous cars. The first time annoying yellow stickers were left on the blades and the service man discarded the box, so I only realized the stickers were covering some wear indicators and had to be removed upon installation when removing the blades to replace. The second time they scratched the wiper arms. It's best to do it yourself if you can. ![]() Also, original BMW accessories (wiper blades included) are of doubtful quality. Here's another site where you can find parts for your vehicle and see model compatibility by clicking the part number. This will lead to the following thread here. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=03_5467 https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2213879 You can use the part number (61615A35F07) to find it anywhere. ![]() |

For the 4 Series coupe the 61615A35F07 BMW WaterBlade "wet" blades appear "natural" (factory default?) while for the X5 it's a retrofit accessory that requires an additional installation kit: "To convert to a wet arm system (spray nozzles in the windshield wiper arm), the WaterBlade Kit, which contains all the necessary hose lines, holders, hose connectors, etc., is required once. In addition, the BMW WaterBlade wiper blades are required (separate part number). In the event of wear, only the BMW WaterBlade wiper blades are replaced. Part number: 61615A121A0". Simply put, you can use smaller blades with fixing adapters but you can't use larger ones than your factory default.Well, for the 4 Series coupe the factory default appears to be "dry" 61619478361. The 61615A35F07 BMW WaterBlade "wet" blades are a retrofit accessory too, but somehow RealOEM claims the installation kit 61615A121A0 is not necessary and the "wet" blades can be installed to simply replace the "dry" defaults. They won't work "wet" then (without the water supply connection?), obviously. ![]() Last edited by No one; 12-12-2025 at 07:08 AM.. Reason: A point clarification added. |

I think complimentary wiper blades went out the window several years ago. I can't think of any replacements on my last 5 BMWs.

(ask me how I know...lol) But yeah, if you can slip the wiper blades in with other items then it could be worth it. |

I tried a few different aftermarket sets on my F10 and eventually took mine apart and replaced only the rubber blade. None of the aftermarkets had the right adapter to connect to my wiper arms. Next time Im just going to order from FCP
