Thumbs up BPC flash tune review, N63 550i xDrive

I've had it for 2 weeks now and I can't help but drive the car more. usually it sits in the garage 5 out of the 7 days.

Overall in performance:
Significant improvement off the line. The extra 100tq+ pushes you into the seat
Almost don't feel any turbo lag anymore
On the highway, I describe it as an N63 on steroids.
The speeds keep climbing so much faster. I got the delimited speed option however didn't test it yet
No codes, no errors; the tune seems very stable
MPG is up by ~1, same driving habits

I went with a flash tune over a piggyback due to issues, errors, etc I see people have posted with piggybacks. If I understand, BPC was also conservative on the tune to keep everything within safe limits.

I sent in my DME and got it back in 2 days. I do wish there was a remote flashing option available for the N63.

Bob@BPC Thanks for the support and

If BPC can modify the tune in the future where the exhaust can spit fire in Sport+ mode, that will be something...

I have a 650i with an N63 tuned by BPC, Its Making 440WHP and 515WTQ. I'm thinking about going Stage 2 with downpipes. Any info you can give me on getting the most power out of the car. Also, I'm having some cooling issue, My car sets right under 250 degrees when driving normal and sometimes hits a little over 250 when running it hard.

How much boost? what kind of dyno? can you post graph.
Have you pulled up your temps on the instrument cluster?

Dyno jet, and if you search BPC's last 650 n63 tune you will see my graph. How do you pull up the temps on the cluster?

Mine is an N63, so I actually have to flash it via ISTA to revert back to stock. Still waiting on BPC to release OBD2 flashing.

The tune is great. No issues. I could not be happier with a stage 1 flash. I accidentally hit 170mph+ on the head up display.

No issues with smog. This tune does not interfere with Smog check , etc.

Hey, I'm in CT and I'd love to check out how the flash wakes up the 550.
Looking forward to my warranty expiring in the next year or so.

Will It be an issue With bringing it to service after drivetrain malfunction due to needing a fuel injector replacement?

Any form of tune taken to a BMW dealership for warranty work is a risk. They can deny the warranty.

You have to flash back to stock with ISTA before going in for warranty work.

Nope. You have to send the DME back to BPC and they will reflash it for free. Right now, they do not have remote tuning available yet for N63 DMEs. If they did, you can switch between stock and tune yourself.
