Do I have JB4 installed on my f10?

Hey guys!
It’s been awhile since I owned a BMW, just picked one up from the auction, and therefore I have no idea about the history of the car. It’s a 2012 535i. It appears the previous owner spared no expense into modifying it. Besides the cosmetics, there’s an AFE carbon fiber intake, full exhaust, etc but how do I check if it’s got a JB4 installed? I’m pretty positive if I started modifying it myself- it’d be one of the first things I would install.

I’d start by including some photo’s. Especially in and around the engine compartment. if you use the phone app it will automatically size the pics for you and post them.

Let’s see this new fun toy!!!!

Post a picture of the drivers side of the engine bay, on the charge pipe (next to strut tower), easy way to see JB4 would be if the connector has the JB4 harness attached there.

Nice pickup!

Also try going to mycarfax.com and enter that cars vin# into your “garage”. That will automatically import any service records posted.

Thanks, I'll take some more pics tomorrow morning.

Good call on the service records! When I got it it was like a Christmas tree on dashboard, way overdue for everything.

Finally got it serviced today now trying to find out what all the mods are. Also interesting it's got AC schnitzer emblems all over. Makes me wander what exactly is an ac schnitzer upgrade..

Suspension, likely springs.

aren't the JB modules installed underneath the plastic covers by the wipers? you could pop those off and see. Like AZ-MCRacer said the AC Schnitzer would be the springs cause I don't see the AC spoiler on the back. Congrats on the pickup! i'd pickup some carbon fiber mirror caps

Uh-oh Pyccak sounds like you might need to send me that air box in exchange for a stock one and cash. Hahaha.

Yeah, I can’t believe that made it to auction! They must’ve traded it in for something and the dealer didn’t want to deal with aftermarket parts.... or.... there’s a leaky gasket somewhere.

Fortunately I got the car with a stock airbox in the trunk. Because a few days after driving I got a check engine light on and it was traced to the aftermarket airbox. Now I’m cruising around with a stock one

It had light damage to the rear end. I’ve only replaced the rear bumper and tail lights.
It was super clean besides that
