BOT nipping HAM for pole....VET's P3 really shows how far off the Prancing Horse is from the Silver Arrows....Baku is a course with a massive straightaway that produces results for those with the best package of power unit and aerodynamics....the red car is reported to have the power edge but they still cannot catch the silver car....even with Baku's massive straightaway.

Let’s hope crazy Max or Vettel can get between them. If not, it may be another Bore of a race.

I’ve said once and I’ll say it again, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, what have you done!
It’s painful to watch. |

Because he became the 2nd. Red Bull driver. in the team. Because Max was/is the golden child ... So...Yeah mate . It's really sad and painful to watch . Because I like Daniel too ! Meanwhile my fingers are crossed for Max . Normal , because Max is born only 20 km from my home in Belgium . And I've been following Max from when he drove his first Kart race in Genk... Max was only 4 !

Ferrari screwed up LeClerc, once again. He was so much faster than everyone else. It seems to me that pitting him around lap 26-27 and putting him on another set of mediums would have left him in a really good spot. But, I'm not an F1 engineer, so what do I know.

I believe you can’t just use one tire compound in the race, only choice was the soft which is why they were waiting as late as possible but didn’t work out anyways. Ferrari has dropped the ball many times but this time Leclerc did. He didn’t do him self any favors crashing in qualifying, that’s what put him out of the running. I want to know what happened to Vettel, much further back to Mercedes the entire race than I would have thought.

Benz continues to show fantastic execution in all conditions, whether they actually have the best package or not.

It seems like a mission impossible to close the gap with the Mercs. At least not in this season !
And so we can expect even more boring races...

Yeah closing the gap this season with the Mercs looks like a pipe dream but definitely think RBR can take some positive away from Baku. Looks like they were closer to optimizing their setup then the previous races & were able to get a bit more speed out of the new honda. Max was running a damn good pace before the VSC. I think Ferrari is within their sights this year, probably a long shot but could see them catching up to them by the end of the year. Gasly looks like he is starting to get comfortable with the car as well too.

F1 TV has let me down this year. I was hopeful and was able to get it for $50 with a coupon, however it is not worth even that. On race weekends it usually doesn't work in real time, only after the race. I'll keep my Hulu Live subscription.
I do believe Ferrari has the faster cars this year, they've just totally botched execution. Mercedes has been absolutely flawless at everything they've done. MB will win it again and hopefully this is Bottas' year. |

Basically whoever gets the lead from the start can easily control each race(except for a mechanical issue like Leclerc in Bahrain). 2019 aero changes haven’t done anything. DRS is responsible for majority of passes.
