wheels size and offset xdrive

Hello everybody

I want to change my wheels on my 535ix and i wanted to know if its the correct size .These are my 20 wheels specs :

Front : 245/35ZR20 Tire and 8.5J ET 28 rim
Rear : 275/30/R20 Tire and 10J ET 35 rim

I read on internet the required wheels sizes for Bmw f10 535ix for 20 inch is :

Front :245/35ZR20 and 8.5J ET 33
Rear :275/30ZR20 and 9J ET44

I have the same tire sizes but can be any problems or damages to the xdrive system because of the ET and J difference ?

Thank you

With your requested tires and wheels on an F10 xDrive, you have two things to consider:
1. Wheel Offsets. Your front wheel size & offset are fine. It has 5mm less offset than OEM so it will poke out 5mm more, and there are many on this forum that are running 12mm spacers or more for their front wheels. For the rear, I am running a 9.5J ET 35 rim and it is closer to being flush with the rear fender, but it is still tucked in a bit. Your selection places the rear outer wheel rim another 6mm further outwards since the wheel is .5 inches wider. This should be OK.
2. Tire diameters / circumferences. xDrive can handle a 1% diameter and circumference difference between tires installed in front and rear axles. Your selection comes in at a 1% difference between front and rear, so you should be OK. I have had 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 tires installed on my xDrive for the past two years, and have not had any problems.

as long as your wheel diameter does not exceed the 1% specs for BMW you should be fine. However, from many of the threads posted here a lot of people had issues running a staggered setup on a Xi vs your typical square setup
