If you're having trouble with the install you can e-mail us. If you're in a hurry I'd be more than happy to recommend a VRSF authorized dealer in your area.
Thanks Tiago. That gives me more confidence.

I received mine on Friday but I was leaving for out of town so I didn't bother opening the box. It's still at work, and hasn't been touched. Hopefully, my intercooler is in tip-top shape and without issues.

Tiago, several fins were bent. Hopefully that won't restrict the airflow or will it.

Well, make sure you all double check your hardware. I was sent the wrong size brackets and screws (which I didn't realize until the intercooler was in place and connected). I emailed Tiago, he apologized and said he wanted to resolve it as quick as possible, so I sent a video.

This was yesterday evening and I haven't heard anything else from him after emailing and sending a PM again earlier today. I need the correct hardware overnighted to me, because this is my daily driver.

Thiago, I have not installed my unit yet but if I received the wrong hardware could you kindly send me the right hardware as well? I don't wanna take my car to my mechanic only to find out that I don't have the right hardware.

Thanks.

Yep. I was hoping to update everyone today with something positive, but I didn't hear from Tiago, even after a few back and forth PMs about the issue last night.

EDIT: So as far as shipping replacement hardware, even if it's shipped tomorrow (Saturday), then there's Sunday and Monday (president's day), I won't get the correct hardware until Tuesday

If you’re in a hurry you could always run to your local hardware store and we would be more than happy to compensate you.

In my initial email about the issue on Wednesday 2/13, I asked you for the correct size dimensions, then again in a PM, and later mentioned that you never told me in another PM. You still never gave them to me.

That won't solve the bracket issue though. Looks like the bracket should be like Wagner's, an angled L shape + longer, and not a regular L shape.

Sent out email to VRSF on Friday but have not received any response so far. All the R&D and yet they still missed on the most important stuff i.e hardware.

Well, my theory is that Tiago/VRSF is contracting a third party to copy/build the intercoolers, therefore doesn't really have access to exact specs.

Of course he doesn't want to admit that... Or else it's just a lack of professionalism. There's no excuse for not providing something as simple as a correct bolt size after you've sent multiple people incorrect mounting hardware.

True...but they should have test fitted these before shipping them out to customers to ensure proper fitment. I am not taking mine to my mechanic until I am absolutely sure that I have the correct mounting hardware to avoid downtime, and frustration.

Installed the FMIC last week, my mechanic had to fabricate a couple of L shaped brackets to mount the it. Besides that the IC works as advertised. Huge difference in IAT. I'm happy with it.

We're ordering the correct bolts today folks, they'll arrive and ship within the next day or so and we'll ship them out to anyone who needs a set. Shoot an e-mail to support@vr-speed.com with an order number & we'll be sure to send out the replacement bolts!

As far as the bracket goes we're just waiting on our sponsored F10 N55 to pop in the shop so we can take another look but we had 4 beta testers install these with the same configuration without issue. I'm guessing the problem is as simple as a mixup with the included hardware but we'll get to the bottom of it ASAP and correct all existing kits.

I couldn't wait no more. I had mechanic make me a custom bracket. All good now! Brought a bracket from Menard.

New screws have been sent out. E-mail sales@vr-speed.com if you're in need of a set of screws. As of right now we are waiting for the brackets to be made but the existing brackets will work.

Existing brackets do not work... Replacement bolts were also too long and didn't work. Besides that intercooler fits (albeit snug) and is huge compare to the factory unit.

For as long as it took VRSF to release this intercooler it is a shame they missed the little things. It took my mechanic an extra hour to make the needed brackets, and replacement bolts weren't the correct length.
