HELP: F10 LED Adaptive Headlight Turn Signal and Halo

2014 F10 550i LCI with LED Adaptive Headlights

Had collision and water damage to my drivers side headlight. Pulled out the Headlight Control module and it showed burnt areas on the circuit board.

I decided to purchase 3 new modules and a headlight assembly.

Here is what I got:

Used LED Adaptive Headlight Assembly (63117352485)
New LED module for cornering light (63117352477)
New LED module for turn signals (63117352553)
New Headlight Control Module (63117440878)

The only part I did not replace was the Headlight Ballast Main Light module (63117354974)

With some help from a friend, we were able to code the Headlight Control Module (STML) and got the car to recognize it.

The issue is that I continue to get error when initializing the SMTL and trying to "Learn In" the LED's. The error states something about a Resistance issue. ISTA+ shows everything "Green" except for STML.

I've swapped the LED modules for turn signals with my original one and have the same exact issue as the new one.

The LED Headlights work, Adaptive function works, but the turn signal, eyebrows and Halo's do not work. The only error I get in the car is "Turn Signal Malfunction".

Does anyone know if the Headlight Ballast Main Light module that I did not replace affect any of the LED's for the Halo and Turn Signals?

You VO coded the FRM right? And VO coded the 4 headlight modules before flashing them?

We only coded the new Headlight Control Module to inject the CAFD that was missing.

I was under the impression that the LED cornering light module and LED Turn Signal modules did not need to be coded and were plug and play.

Do those need to be VO coded?

FRM needs to be VO coded for LED. You need to VO code all the modules so it's properly set for your FA. And then flashed to the latest PSdZData.

There's a chance you've already burned out your LED's by not coding the FRM. Read this retrofit guide:

This is not a retrofit.

My car always had the LED Adaptive Headlights from the factory. I was just replacing existing modules with the same parts.

So are you saying we have to VO code the new Headlight Control Module (STML) with the LED headlight turn signal and other LED features.

Theoretically, we could look at the right side VO coding and duplicate it for the left side?

Ah, thought you were doing a retrofit. What do you mean, look at the right side? Just VO code it. Right click module, select code. Looking at each individual FDL coding and transferring the codings seems like a very tedious way of doing the same thing.

We VO Coded the module and still no turn signals or eyebrows.

I'm going to get another LED Turn signal module.

You've flashed all the modules right? My replacement SZL refused to do steering angle sensor adjustments until it was flashed to my VIN.

And just to clarify, flashing isn't VO coding.

We flashed the Headlight Control Module. We know that worked because all of the other functions that were giving errors are now working. The LED Turn Signal module and LED Cornering Light module are controlled by the Headlight Control module. They plug in with connectors to the headlight assembly. The Cornering Light module works properly, it's just the Turn Signals that do not.

We could not find anything in ESYS that specifies the Turn Signal Module.

I just ordered a used OEM Turn Signal module and will see if that works.

Hey may, did you ever figure this out? I have a similar issue. My left LED Blinker is not working. No power, no flashing. I swapped out my TMS headlight module, since I thought it needed replacing due to water damage and corrosion. I also swapped out the LED turn signal as well, but still not turning on.
