How much oil does your n55 consume?

My '11 535i goes through a liter of oil every 2k miles... Doesn't look normal to me.
Recently i changed the oil filter gaskets, head and valve cover gaskets and the oil pan gasket as all of them were slightly leaking. Oil consumption is a bit better, but still a lot. Could all this be from blow by? Car is running a catless dp and mhd stage 2.

So far, my 2011 535xi does not consume a measurable quantity of oil between changes (no segments are lost on the oil level indicator). I have changed oil anywhere between 0.5-1x the factory interval. Usually more like half the interval, around 10,000km (not miles).

My 2013 535xi (built in August 2012) does not consume any oil between oil changes either, and like Surly73, I've been having my oil changed between 10K and 20K km intervals. I had my first oil change performed about 5K kms into the car's life, despite BMW service interval recommendations, too.

I change my oil every 5k miles. I usually add about 2 qrts in between changes.

Neither of our N55's (2012 83K+ miles and 2014 48K miles) consume oil (as measured on the display) between the factory recommended oil changes; preformed at the dealer.

I had an N55 in my 335i with almost 100k miles on it and it never consumed measurable amounts of oil between changes.

2011 535xi purchased with 19k mi (30,000 km) and now has just under 40k mi (64000 km) and driven in a spirited manner with JB4 and only consumes a qt every 8000-9000 miles (1200-1500 km)

Mine does have 95k miles on it, but still 1qrt every 2-3k miles is insane. Cannot be only turbo blow by, it most likely burns oil. Probably gotta rebuild the engine for that one...

2011 535i with 72k miles. I run either Pentosin, or Motul oil in my car and almost 11k mile ownership of the car I have not had any oil consumption issues. My car is a MHD stage 2, VRSF CP, and ER catless dp. No issues!

It is going to depend how you drive it. If you are hard on it with lots of WOT to redline, it is going to use more oil... If you baby it, it is much less likely to use oil. I found this with both my n54 335i and n55 535i. If you baby it and it is using oil, you have other issues to investigate.

I do 5k oil change intervals no oil consumed or lost always full. 91.5k miles 2011 535i xdrive. Even with WOT pulls when warm.

Same here- strictly 5k mile OCIs, and once car is fully warmed up I give it beens every now and then, and she runs great.

Spec is 1 qt per 750 miles I believe. My 550 N63 uses a quart every 500!!

2011 535i with 69k miles. I change oil at 7500 mile intervals and usually need to add 1 quart at around 5-6k miles. Running BMS Stage 1, BMS intake and M Perf exhaust.

If you are hard on it with lots of WOT to redline, it is going to use more oil... If you baby it, it is much less likely to use oil. I found this with both my n54 335i and n55 535i. If you baby it and it is using oil, you have other issues to investigate.
