M Sport Aerodynamic Kit Retrofittable?
So I got my F10 as one of the earlier vehicles, before they offered the M Sport package. I have just about all of the things in this package except the aero body kit.
Does anyone know if in the US you can purchase this and get it installed? Presumably its "in the white" and would need to be painted and installed at a body shop.. Thanks.. |

Retrofit M Aero Package to 2011 550i
I am in the same position as the first user in regards to wanting the Body Kit added since I ordered my 2011 550i in April of 2010 So, it was not available. I have all other packages/options including Lane Departure, Active Cruise Control, Adaptive Drive, Pre-Collision Control ETC. I called local BMW Dealerships and it took FOREVER for them to find out for themselves if the Body Kit was even available; Finally they called me back and told me that is would cost $5,200.00 to get the kit installed/painted on my car..... When the M Package online when you build your 2011 5 series would have only been $6,500 and included Multi-Conture seats Adaptive Drive and upgraded Rims in addition to the all around Aerodynamic Body Kit! I was/am not happy with the cost of retrofitting my car. Also, I feel the if your order your new BMW early then basically order with caution because you could get the short end of the stick because BMW might not have all packages together ..... Long story Short if you search Ebay you can find the OEM Body Kit for 3299.00 plus shipping 399.99 , but you would have to get painted and installed so it would most likely cost the same as the dealership doing it. here is the item I found on EBAY :http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-F...s#ht_949wt_941
Goodluck and let me know if anyone has any other ideas on getting the body kit added! |

I am converting my front right now to get the car ready for bimmerfest.
There are alot of parts to swtich out for the front including the internals the ducts and inner liners. Overall wise, I would still think its cheaper to retrofit it than buying the kit from OEM as a package, but just wayy too many little parts u have to change!
