On the way home in the passing lane coming up on 3 cars all doing 65ish, mind you im doing 75. The last car in the bunch decides to jump out in front of me causing me to hit my brakes, as we got passed the other 2 cars I had my signal to get in right lane because my exit is within 1/2 mile he then turns his on as I was merging over with clear merge. He starts getting into my lane now flipping me off as I passed him. Funny story I tell ya... No accidents or anything but he has issues.

The best road rage story that happened to me was in my S2000 15 years ago. An old van was literally on my ass for no reason and I guess I wasn't going fast enough when I was getting off my exit.... which this particular one was a tight right hand loop to connect to a perpendicular road below. I didn't even touch my brakes and just swooped around a 35mph rated turn at 65.... to which the van just careened off the road into the grass!! Lucky that fool didn't hit anything.

This was also coincidently in Ohio in Akron.

Just be careful out there. There are too many nut jobs and a some of them are armed. In CA so I'm rendered defenseless, but I've had several guns pulled on me over the years. In CA, only the nut job criminals carry guns.

I don't understand people who will tailgate non-stop... I hardly ever drive slow, I come up behind people in the fast lane all the time, but will always give them a good amount of space.

I get so uncomfortable riding passenger with people who will tailgate relentlessly.. I have a buddy who does this, no matter how fast the person is going he insists on being as close to them as possible and when I say something about it he usually doesn't even notice he's doing it. Drive fast, but do it responsibly, theres nothing to gain by slamming into someone who decides to check their brakes.

I miss my "bat mobile" E320 CDI that didn't have the particulate filter. All I had to do was stomp on the throttle to downshift and a huge plume of black smoke would greet the tailgaters and other bad drivers - they would routinely back off.

I swear people hate just because we're in a BMW. I had a guy give me the finger for putting on my turn signal and taking the 10 car gap he left to get out of an exit-only lane. Just held the finger up at me from 6 car lengths back... I just dont get it.

I have a Tacoma as well, night and day difference on the same roads.

I agree with the hate of BMW's by people. It seems to be either a Hyundai, or a POS Kia. I go fast but do not crowd others or cut people off. The car just drives well fast. Why do peole want to pass and cut others off to just slow down. IDK.

Agree with the BMW sentiment... A few years back I used to drive an F150, and I didn't get tailgated nearly as much.

Whats interesting is I don't get tailgated nearly as much on the highway as I do on city streets/roads where the speed limit is 30. Someone in a hooptie will be hardly 5 feet from my bumper getting so mad I'm doing exactly 30... Never happened in my truck.

In my experience in certain circumstances yes. Perhaps even when you have brain-dead "automaton" drivers behind you.

Folks want to teach Bimmers a lesson.

When I drive my Ford Fusion to work, people don't even know I exist. No one bothers me.

Strange world.

Lmao, speaking of teaching us bimmers a lesson. Guy tried out running me in a v6 challenger... he sounded so riced out.

I was actually just driving from GA to Nashville to see family, I was going about 65 in a 50 and this little Ford Focus comes up right behind me so I tap my brakes a little like every responsible Bimmer driver and the dude speeds up comes closer! The best thing was when the road opened up to a 2 lane and he tried to pass me but he was no match for my 550

I feel you on this one Burr about having a BMW here! living here in OH they just give you that look because you're not driving a Ford, Chevy or Dodge because of how big the American Automotive industry here is in Ohio and Michigan.

BTW, we need to roll up to a Cars and Coffee meet sometime?
