Tires

I know several discussions are available for tires but I have a question between these two tires - 240/45/19 for 550i is the size

Bridgestone potenza and Michelin primacy 3. Costco recommends to go with primacy 3 since they're $150 cheaper than potenza. They also recommend that Michelin primacy is a newer model and they say it is better than Bridgestone.

Forum has mixed views.

I love a quiet ride on sedan, and since it's a 550i, don't want to stick with something that's going to skid a lot.

I like the Bridgestone Potenza S-04. Smooth, quiet ride and perform as good as the Michelin PSS. I had them on my E90 M3 and I have an appointment to install a set next weekend in my 2013 535i M-Sport.

While talking to tire agent, they recommended Bridgestone Potenza RE050A which is by far the best. Car originally had Goodyear eagle ls2 but not manufactured anymore.

I went with Michelin Pilot A/S 3+ also at Costco. But seeing that your from Houston, I'm guessing you're not getting as much rain as we are in Seattle so I'd recommend Michelin Pilot Super Sports

+1

On my 3rd set, amazing tire.
Short thread life - but that's just "as advertised".

Great! Ended up getting potenzas but r050. Allegedly each tire was 520$ but warranty covers it.
