Scratch on piano black door pillar

Found a nasty scratch/rash mark on my door pillars this morning. I just got the car (2016 535i), and I'm wondering if this was potentially covered with Sharpie or temporary paint and I didn't notice it.

Any products that would do a good job at hiding this versus just replacing the entire part?

Thanks!

The forum appears alive and well to me.

Regarding the issue, the link isn't working for me, but if it's a scratch in the paint, look into compounding and polishing the area to remove the scratch if it isn't too deep. Besides that I don't know how else to repair besides having the area repainted or replaced if it's a trim piece.
