This tool is used to extract and install the transversely mounted differential mounting bushing that is located in the rear subframe.

Ordered through KTC and confirmed this is the same as the BMW2260 despite the BMB1568 label. Used once on a 535i. Threads oiled before use- great condition!

Is there a video on how to use this? I just got diagnosed with needing a rear differential mount. How tough is this job?

Not too bad at all. I did it in my driveway over a few hours. Put the rear wheels on ramps and dropped the exhaust on jack stands. This will allow you to drop the diff using a floor jack just enough to replace the bushing using the tool. I think I referenced the following video, but I didn't remove the exhaust or driveshaft:

Hey Sylvrlee

What were your symptoms? Seat wobble from 60ish up to 80mph?

Is this the proper solution?

Thanks
