Fitment Question: 20x9 ET20 and 20x10 ET25 on F10 M-Sport
I need to get new tires for my stock 19 Ms but I am considering purchasing a wheelset from someone instead. Need some help confirming that this will be a good fit.
The standard specs for 20s on an F10 5 series looks to be: Front: 20x9 ET35 Rear: 20x10 ET40 The wheels that I would be looking at purchasing has the following specs: Front: 20x9 ET20 with 245-40R20 tires Rear: 20x10 ET25 with 275-35R20 tires If I am reading the image below on how offsets work, having a lower offset would mean that the wheels would sit closer to the edge of the fender producing a "flush" look. My question is...is -15 in the front and rear too aggressive of a reduction in offset? And do the tire specs seem good? Do you guys see any major fitment issues with this? And what does programming a TPMS entail? Is this something a BMW dealership has to do and if so, how much does that cost? I thought the vehicle would just recognize the TPMS system installed on the wheels as long as they are the right year. I believe this was for a 2009 750li and I have a 2011 550i

I assume you've got the staggered 19". They're 19x8.5 ET33 and 19x9 ET44.
This means that the 20x9 ET20 will stick out 19mm more, and that's quite a lot, and will stick out passed the fenders. The rears 20x10 ET25 will stick out even more, 32mm. This will also stick out passed the fender. The tires are also larger, since the profile are 40 and 35, should be 35 and 30 on staggered 20s for the F10.
