TG has been scripted for a while, just watch a few episodes over the past several years and you'll see, nothing new to report. Maybe you should read a bit more instead of making assumptions. Over 180 Km (or over 130 miles) of new track is being added and the trains are being improved. But of course this being India and with corruption so endemic the pace of improvement is very slow.

So a fan of the show would like to see what would happen if 2 countries were wiped off the map?????? Firstly, how do you propose to illustrate that in a show? Secondly, Why not wipe out the biggest user of petroleum, why not wipe out the biggest polluter? Why not go all the way and show what the world would be like if no one existed? If you had the slightest clue about world business you would know that TATA did not start to exist because of automobiles. TATA has been around since the 1870s. All those Indians are not driving TATAs. TATA motors are major players in the commercial sector not the consumer. Thank you for feeling sorry that India is stuck in the 1900s. Maybe India should have hired people from the US Finance Industry to teach them about growth.
