Greetings
Hello,
Signed up on the board over a year ago with the intent at the time of getting an F10... Anyway better late than never. I've been a regular member on other forums (e46 fanatics and bimmerfest), but it seems the F10post is the place to get some lively discussions and help on the F10, so here to stay. My ride is below bought it from a used car dealer in Downey, CA about a month ago and have done a ton of work detailing mostly as mechanically it was dealer maintained from new with some service work done at a shop in Pasadena. This is actually my 8th BMW and is my 2nd dealer purchased. The previous owners kept all their receipts in the glovebox so I managed to get a full history of it, however. Cheers!

Thanks - one nagging issue I'm hoping to get to soon is the gap in the front suspension. As you can see it's definitely not OEM and is due to a poor installation by a shop on the control arms. Front end sits nearly 1" higher than it should...

Congratulations!
Front tire-to-fender gap is a feature of these cars from the factory. Without a good profile shot from the side it's hard to tell. It doesn't seem too crazy from the pic you posted - these cars sit high up front. |

I'll post before and after pictures (like everyone else has of course), but I have confirmed that it's riding about 10mm higher in the front than it should be.

Before lowering my car, from wheel center to fender was 9mm higher in front; 383mm vs 374mm, averaged left and right. Is it this front/rear difference you're referring to, or did you measure against a spec?
