Picked up the car last night and could hear the exhaust as the valet came through the bay. Low in pitch but no rumble, definitely not obnoxious. The car was in Comfort Mode when I got in and Sprint Booster off. A definite but not ugly drone was heard and let you know you had a exhaust mod but pleasant, not like my 2013 GS Corvette which was ear banging with drone.

Definite growl with getting on it and worth the price for excitement!

Loved the change and had a long drive to make and I agree with SV F10, soft drone in Comfort almost eliminated in Sport Mode. Yes hard to hear the true exhaust sound in the car but with open driver window I could hear some of the tone and it is low, full and pleasant. I don't have that feeling of torque with sewing machine sound anymore.

Cold start this morning in the garage was loud, slight rumble that decreased as the car warmed, as expected, and it still makes me think the golf tee mod is possible.

Finally, I love the mod and highly recommend it. There might be some increased power but not measurable with butt dyno.

One has a grommet and one does not. Any ideas why?

Mine does not on either exhaust. It could be possible this exhaust is shared by multiple vehicles. It's just a guess

I just bought 2014 535i xdrive and this is my first BMW. I am also debating b/w Dinan and MP exhaust, I want little louder than my OEM. MP is little more expensive but that's not a big issue. I need the one with deeper sound. I go through all videos and blogs which made me more confused. Please can someone tell me which one is better. I don't want to change with Quad ones.

To OP, I too am torn between MPE and Dinan. Do you happen to have any sound clips to share? In particular from inside the cabin? I am leaning towards the quieter of the two. Thx.
