2013 BMW 520d se drivetrain malfunction. The guy I bought the car from at 80k k/m, after sale I found out he split coke down the gear selector and never cleaned it. Cokes stains visible in ashtray and automatic gear selector.
Driving on the motorway the engine check light comes on as I continue my way to the mechanic the idrive screen changes to transmission overheated view photos.

Diagnostic check, transmission sensor and GWS communication fault (E08486). Changed transmission sensor, transmission fluid, regenerated DPF, changed GWS selector and switch. Car drove immaculate for one day then the fault returned, diagnostic test has only one fault GWS communication fault PT-CAN2 (E08486)
