Can you do Bluetooth calls?
Yep. Bluetooth calls are not a problem. Just can't stream.

Hmmmm. Your '11 and my '12 both have CIC and I was able to change the boot logo; though I used ESys. I chose the BMW logo.

Would the com box show as an option doing vin research?

You all need to check your vins. You can literally look up exactly what came on your car and what options you can mod. While I wouldn't say my knowledge is deeper than the questions being asked here. You gotta do some of your own research. Start with knowing what you have. Helps you know what to you may want to do then start to figure out how to accomplish that. BT on 2012 and older is a bit hit or miss. For instance my wife has a 11' Lexus and I had to update the software in that and then read through forums and figure out you have to link the Bluetooth in a certain order for both to be linked. Kind of a pain but that's the way it's designed. Point being I would of not known where to start if i hadn't looked up the vin and read what I had from the factory and what updates were needed.

Yeah, i posted my VIN information months ago. Below is a copy and paste from my old thread when I was trying to code the bluetooth streaming.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me. I just did my first ESys coding session and I activated and added the 6NS to my CIC, however I don't seem to have bluetooth. I went through the remove and pair process and it's still not there. Furthermore, the instructions I went through said to code the "HU_CIC" and then code the "CMB_MEDIA" ECU if present. I cannot find this ECU in my SVT list, however I have a silver computer box mounted to above my rear driverside wheel. If this isn't the Comm Box then what is it?

FYI my car is 2011 535I with a build date of 6/10. Below is what I got from a BMW VIN Decoder for options.

Yea, that was my exact question too... does a vin search (and your results) show if you have a com box or not?

I don't see the combox. I believe you will the need the box and code S6VCA Control for Combox.

Here's what my '12 has under Multimedia (i have phone and audio Bluetooth):

S609A Navigation system Professional
S615A Expanded BMW Online Information
S620A Voice control
S639A Preparation f mobile phone cpl USACDN
S693A Preparation BMW satellite radio
S697A AreaCode 1 for DVD
S6AAA BMW TeleServices
S6ABA Control for Teleservices
S6FLA USBAudio interface
S6NFA Music interface for Smartphone
S6NRA Apps
S6UHA Traffic Information
S6VCA Control for Combox
S645A BMW US Radio
S676A HiFi speaker system

I'm not sure which of those phone services you would need to add.
