Nice video! Going to need to get this soon. I've been debating modifying but you are making hard to stay away. May be time for tune.

The stock MAF sensor is in a ~3.5" diameter pipe, will stepping down to a 3" affect anything or does it just require a quick tune adjustment?

It is 3.5" at it's widest point, but it is oval. A 3" moves roughly the same amount of air. In general, your tune should always match your hardware. However Grant was able to run this on a stock map with no codes. Maybe you'd get some plausibility ghost codes for too much air, intake temps too low etc. Tune is recommended to get gains.

Yea I measured the OD of the intake box outlet and it came out to 10.75", which is a diameter of 3.42. Interesting to hear that it could run on a stock map.

You should measure where the MAF sits to get an accurate idea of area if you wanted to dig deeper. They are extremely close. But at the end of the day it won't matter when you get a tune

Yea I actually just went back and measured again on the ID of the tube rather than the OD. It's around 3.1". You're right that it probably doesn't matter at the EOD

Yes sir. It is explained in the YT video. It is a longer video so use the time stamps in the description to jump to the explanation part.

Hoping to get to 600whp if we can get the injectors to flow for that much hp.

I am at about 500 whp 500 ft/lbs of tq.

We just had another forum member gain about 20hp by swapping to this intake. That's on a stock turbo without a tune!

Did the stock turbo without a tune throw a light? Did he get a before and after dyno? Was there any other mods to the car? EWG or PWG?

Very interested in this system. I sold my BMS intake and went to stock but miss the sound… my car is stock minus a Dinan D-sport and muffler delete.

He is going to start his own thread. He did a pre-intake dyno, and is doing a post intake dyno. #'s are based on an est HP from the MAF g/s data channel which is a fairly accurate base for calc WHP.

IAT are about 6 degrees above ambient too, Gjohnson7 can share what he has seen so far too

I hope to have my install video uploaded soon. I love the new intake and the cool new sounds. Car sounds insane now paired with my new Turbo Smart BOV. Also, I have a dyno day coming up soon and I will be able to update with HP numbers.

How much are you selling these for?

Also - do we need to worry about when it rains and its getting through the grills?
