Comfort Access problem (Comfort Functions Inactive)
Hey, everyone, my new (new to me) “11 535i has comfort access and for weeks it worked outstanding. Yesterday i was doing detailed clean of my car, and for couple hours i was constantly locking/unlocking/oppening every door. The key was always real close to garage. At one point comfort access didnt work. I thought it could be battery and replaced it. Then i noticed when i approach the car or unlock it at some point on my dash there is a notification Comfort functions inactive
Also when i start the car sometimes it wont see the remote. At the moment i dont have access to another key. Appreciate any input, search was unsuccessful |

it’s your comfort access door handle. One or more of them is bad and it’s draining your car battery. Had a similar issue. Try this, lock your door and walk away from your car and wait about 20 to 30 seconds for all the electronics to shut off. Keep the keys in your pocket and walk by each side of the car at a normal pace while keeping a 3 or 2 ft distance from the car. Once you approach a bad door handle it will automatically unlock the car and you will hear the comfort access relay going off in the trunk of the car near the gas door.
A new comfort access handle is about $400 because it comes painted from factory. Let me know if this helps. |
