Bimmerpost App 5.x WIP for Android

This isn't really important, but a small detail I liked from the previous version. Ability to click and see who appreciated each post.

5.0.15 on Android 11, Samsung phone.

Just a status update, I did get my hands on a Samsung device, and can confirm the app does look and run differently on it for some reason. Fonts and details are much bigger then on a Pixel. So now I better understand what everyone means when they say everything is BIG

For some reason I can’t reproduce the problem of not seeing PMs or subsriptions.

I’m going to try downgrading it to Android 11 later in the week and see if that might be the issue

I'm on Android 12 and having same issues. Randomly my PMs and notifications disappear and won't come back until I exit the app. Sometimes, but not always, refreshing by pulling down on the page brings them back.

For what it is worth, I am on a Note 9 with Android 10. I had a lot of the aforementioned issues, but they went away with the update releases. I am no longer seeing any issues for a couple days now.

Thank you man, this kind of feedback is really invaluable because its helping me narrow things down. We have been steadily chipping away at it and your post helped me move the ball forward a bit now

Not a bug - but maybe the ability to check WHICH push notifications you get? Like if you want to see who messaged or replied to you, but not about a new car or "interest" post?

Just a thought.

Yup, that will hopefully make it into a future version in the coming weeks.

It’s full force work on dark mode right now, making so much progress

iviegatron just did everyone a MASSIVE solid by recording the problem he is having and letting me see it in real time.

I cannot stress how MASSIVE this was. Because I think we solved the problem. I might be jumping ahead of myself here, and I wait to see if the solution works for him before rolling it out to everyone as an official fix, but I really think that might be it.

Again massive props to him!!!!

Glad to help! Lol learned how to screen record minutes before sending it to you. It's a built in feature on androids which is pretty cool. I have sent over some more videos to you.

Personal Data, Forums, MyForums, Subscriptions, Messages and Notifications.

Those issues were:
- spinning "submit" icon when posting edits to a post. It now works fine.
- notifications are accurate

One additional request:l to add to my previous ones:
Can you please add message count/% full to the app?
I cannot see that last message sent filled up my message quota and closed my inbox. It would be super useful.

Yup it's in the upcoming .19 release, probably tommorow
