Help me choose which tires to purchase for my 2012 528i!

Hello everyone. First post, and fairly new to this site. I hope I could find some answers that I've been looking for.

I recently purchased some wheels off some guy with a 535i. Wheels are 351m style and my understanding is the OEM wheel setup for a 535i is staggered and the sizes are 245/40/19 for the front and 275/35/19 for the rears. I want these on my 528i, but I'm wondering if I should have the sizes mentioned previously installed on my 528i, or if I should stick to the size they have now but just with 19" tires.
The size my 528i has at the moment are 225/55R/17 all around with ET30 offsets all around and this is how the car came when I purchased it.

Can anyone help me out with this? Anything is appreciated!
Thanks!

Let me start with a couple technical corrections.
The wheels are called just 351 style, if they are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) they will have the ///M badges on them.
OE (Original Equipment) vs OEM, OE is equipment that originally came with the car, OEM is who made that equipment.
Now that being said, there are variations to the OE setup.
Yes, staggered is one of them. Square is also, and more than one diameter size.
Your question about tire size, 225/55/19 would be a very odd size.
As diameter increases normally so does width and sidewall.
I would stick to the original tire sizes.

wcr3d, Thanks for your response and clarifications.

The wheels are OEM, they came with ///M badges and have BMW engraved behind the face of the rim.
I appreciate your info on the size for the tires. Although I'm still a bit confused. I'm not exactly sure if I have a square set up or staggered, I want to install these wheels but not sure which tires to get. I think I have a squared setup since all my wheels and tires are the same size.

You recommend sticking to the original size tires, not sure what you mean by this if I'm trying to install the 351 wheels on my car. Can you elaborate a bit more?

Thanks in advance.

You should use the tire sizes intended for those wheels, when optioned on an F10.

1.) If the wheels you bought were staggered (meaning 2 are 8" wide, 2 are 9.5" wide): 245/40/19-R front, 275/35/19-R rear.

2.) If the wheels you bought are not staggered (meaning all 4 wheels are 8" wide): 245/40/19-R all around

This might help you visualize tire sizing if the numbers are not familiar to you:

Note that your existing wheel/tire combination is the same diameter (within 0.1") as either 245/40/19-R or 275/35/19-R r

While your questions appear answered, you could check the OEM tires at tirerack.com.
I have found the info very reliable.
