ConnectedDrive

Hey guys,
Just got a 2013 BMW F10. I bought both Connected Drive subscription but yet I can't see the "Online " part, neither no apps or widget. How do I get those downloaded?

Did you try BMW's Connected App. I am using iOS version and it works fine for me.

I finally got it back from the dealership. Apparently I wasn't getting no signal. All good now. But yet I can't download the weather app or any app. I see the online store option but when I click it it only shows my subscriptions. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep. I can see my car on the homepage. I can lock and unlock the car from my phone.

I suspect then it must have something to do with ConnectedDrive servers, contact BMW and ask them to resolve this.

At least you can do that. My remote services haven't worked for four months now. BMW keeps saying they're working on it and it's a widespread issue. Apparently not universal.

Sorry to heat that. I would try going to the dealership and have them look at it. I did t that and they didn't charge me a penny. . Do you see the 3G connection sign on top?

I do have a 3G connection because I get real-time traffic, weather, and other app services. It's just the remote services that don't work. BMW says they have some kind of hugely tangled server issue and the problems are not consistent across cars. Some work 100%, some have some services and not others, etc.

I understand that these are complex issues, but four months seems like way too long to resolve something of this nature. And there's still no date on when it will be fixed. Crazy.

I guess I need to keep perspective! Being in a position to complain about how I can't remotely lock my 550i from my smartphone is definitely a first world issue.

How did you get Connected Drive on a 2013 model? Did you have it upgraded to 3G? How much did it cost?

How did you get Connected Drive on a 2013 model? Did you have it upgraded to 3G? How much did it cost?
I already had the 3G Combox. They just had to activate it. Took them a while. Apparently it was an issue with AT&T. BMW contacted them and it was fix. They didn't charge me because my equipment weren't faulty.
