This snap-in adapter served me well...did exactly what it was supposed to do, but I was forced to upgrade to a 5s, so now the adapter is yours to use and enjoy. Comes in its flimsy original box. If shipped, It will be protected by a sturdy outer box.

I should have highlighted the fact that this is the "media adapter" that enables the properly-equipped car's full use of the iPhone's media capabilities.
