Trim piece question

Hey guys,

I have a 2011 550xi and I just bought the hexagon aluminum trim to replace the existing wood trim I have in the car now. My problem is the middle trim piece with the AC vents has the slot for the start/stop button AND the auto start/stop button. My 550 only has the start/stop button and I kick myself for not noticing that the picture has the slot for the two buttons. If I bought the assembly for the two buttons would it fit into the dash and would the existing connector still work? Or do I now have to find the middle trim piece with just the one button?

The switch should be P&P. You might even get the option to turn off the A/S/S!

So it doesn't need to be coded then I assume? I don't care for the auto start/stop so if that doesn't work that's fine. I just want the car to start lol

Granted it was part for part, but I replaced the ignition switch on my wife's 2012 535i with one I got off of eBay. It was a direct replacement.

But was the ignition switch with one button or two with the auto start/stop?

The connector is shaped the same so I'm hoping it'll work and won't mess anything up.

It was the one with the on/off button; basically a 2 position switch.
It was this switch:

You should be fine as long as the trim piece has the same shape opening.
