Question RGB ambient light Retrofit

hey there

new here 1st post.

recently got a '13 535 xdrive and am loving it.

i noticed we have ambient lights and 1st thought was wanting to RGB them.

from what ive read the LCI has multi color and idrive enabled control for it?

so then it stands to reason we should be able to retrofit RGB strips into the pre-LCI models as well.

can someone point me in the right direction on that? ive been trying to read up on it but alot of threads die out or dont let you know info

im handy enough, i really wana know these specific things

can you code in the multi color idrive control on pre LCI? (i have NBT)
if you do, is there a 4 pin connector already there stock? or do you have to run your own wires back to an ECU and connect them to get more then one channel of color control?

any help would be great thanks!

so after alot more research.

in 14-16 had the 2 color, with ability to change in idrive, between amber and white.

SO the pre lci has single color amber with no control.

i guess the idea is now is to see if i can get a person to design a tiny PCB rgbw driver
