Thanks to Mercedes and Shalia-Ann Rao ! => https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/11451...gulations.html

First , Wolff bought his anti-bouncing solution from the FIA and now he just pushed the FIA to investigate the other teams !
It just shows the clout Wolf has behind the scenes, Rao is a lawyer too.

Looks like it never ends ..I just could smell it that something was going on from the moment that Rao came in the FIA picture !

Mercedes bought the anti-bouncing solution from the FIA , Mercedes was tipped via Rao ..
The whole situation is a true shame for motorsports !

“So, if on the one hand it is stupid and wrong to think that Ferrari boycots Leclerc (and I say this without implication), on the other hand the evidence suggests that Sainz's victory is more good for Sainz than for the team. Happy him, at least.”

LEC started under the management of Sergio Marchionne and Massimo Rivola. Carlos Sainz brought in by the Binotto and current President John Elkann. Preference in strategy, B8 and Elkann want choice of Sainz torero show success.
As I was saying before the name Sainz has WRC and Dakar success history and that one man tire strat at the end came on a hot line from Maranello.

LEC would be perfect for Merc. Hate to say, but it’s the only place he could go and have a realistic chance for a WDC.

Or

Sainz gets replaced by Bottas.

From confidente, counselor, vertrouweling to chief of sporting direction.
Easy as changing boots do not worry.

FIA should require a cool off period before a team member joins the directorship of the FIA.

Liberty Media cannot wait for the next FIA scandal, so they can take over the officiating side of the shop.

Liberty: Toto help us get rid of FIA
Toto: ok but I want the following.......
Liberty: no problem.

Next day: Rao temporally appointed new sporting director. Interim = no vetting of candidate.

A new off-track war is coming up : Red Bull/Ferrari vs Mercedes/FIA

Wolff is just pushing it too far ...

Sainz has learnt and is seemingly up to pace so unfortunately for Lec it is he who may be vacating if the strats continue as in Silverstone.
It may be HAM's last season with reports that Wolff is tired of him so the sky's the limit for fast Lec and if such there will be an open place at the reds for Mick.

All of us have to deal with bad news at times and Chas is no exception, it will hurt more for him knowing he thought he was the golden boy coming into the reds but as we know there has always been a higher hand at Ferrari that thinks only what's good for the brand name in the long run.

I still think Ferrari is the better option. At the moment, the Merc isn't a championship car. Schumacher dealt with the morons there for a while before he got them in order. Charles just has to put his foot down or join Max when Checo departs. That would be an insane team.

VER and LEC together: that would be very interesting.

But that won't happen, because it would burn a hole in Red Bull's wallet to also pay LEC a respectable amount of money compared to VER.

If driver salary remains uncapped, I don't see Red Bull having any problems financing this. They've been carrying F1 alone for a while until recently.

No, not really. You are just a fan of redbull so you take no issue with them cheating. According to EVERY F1 rule… both Checo & Max should have absolutely been penalizes.

Here’s a good summary of it. Clearly Stewards gave special leniency to redbull in exception of the rules as usual. Again, both Checo & max are good enough to win but redbull is a cheat-first organization so they just go for it knowing they will get away with it and the other 18 drivers will usually yield to their cheating. At minimum, if it ain’t cheating its totally rubbish driving.

I read that Honda's top brass are in force at Spielberg which may mean they are thinking twice about leaving RB come a few years time. VW/Porsche will be listening in what's going on!

If Checo had put out HAM into the guard rail then it would be a ten second penalty for him. HAM has done that to others in his time and got away with it. ie Albon for one.

it's not about a driver - it's about the rules... just because it happened before last year or the year before doesn't mean it's right or free reign to just push people out all over the place now.

with that logic, you are saying because HAM did it one time to Albon - the rule should be thrown out of the books and everyone can push everyone out.

or should we enforce when it's flagrent... like Silverstone for both Max and Perez... who BTW Perez pushed out multiple people multiple times... it was driving like insane Max was last year.

again, like all these guys, they are amazing - but rules should be rules and these were WELL WELL over the line... they all resulted in CLEAR and DIRECT advantage gains

not to also mention that this year the field was told that four wheels over white lines will be watched closely and action taken. so far it's really only been Red Bull who exceeds track limits and pushes people over track limits... and so far... there has been no enforcement on Red Bull from the stewards

Kind of happy to see such an abundance of F1 fans here. Long time fan here, not because of D2S either, couple years prior to that, before the HALO was a thing. I used to be a Merc and Ham fan, but became a RB fan as of late. Still love all teams for the most part, but its becoming difficult to like Merc lately IMHO. Happy that this year we may have a 3 way team race for championship and HaaS is somewhat doing better overall. Hope that Max can win it again this year so the doubt goes out the window he is a great driver.
