Changing my VCG, yet the VC itself is relatively new so I was not planning to replace it. However, it did have a decent amount of oil inside the upper cavity.
Is this normal operation of the PCV system? 2011 535i xDrive 157k (VC is much newer).

If it's inside of the vacuum reservoir, that can be an internal crack in the VC. Meaning you'd need a new VC, no matter how new it already was. What brand is it? OE, at least?

Yah - I was thinking of that video later and was going to see if I could try to find it. The relevant info is just a nugget out of the whole run time of the video - but that's exactly what I was thinking of...
