Its most likely because the EU market uses the WLTP cycle which typically posts higher range than the EPA.

Interesting. That's a material difference, that's over 20%!

I personally think the EPA needs to redo how they rate EV range. MPGe is one of the most confusing terms to the general public that I think no one actually understands. They should do it the same as a gas car, and provide city, highway, and combined ranges to make things simple and easy.
