Hey guys, wanted to share my M5 F90 conversion done on my 2011 F10. This was completed a week ago. I bought the front bumper from Amazon for $475, and Maaco South Charlotte done the install. It took them almost 3 weeks to complete because they had trouble with drilling the PDC holes and also the paint would not stick the first try. The bumper is polythene of something, lol. They had to try a different technique in painting and finally got it to stick. Here's some photos for your enjoyment, this totally transformed everything about this car and was the last major upgrade I had been considering for over 2 years.

I think this is great mod.

I've always thought there was something missing about the F10 front bumper, especially when using the M5 style gloss black double slat kidney grilles. As they make the grilles appear wider and more menacing, but the lower grilles on the bumper look far too small in comparison. This conversion fixes this!

I'm surprised you had issues with the paint adhesion. I thought the OEM bumper was made from PP Plastic

How did you tackle the fog lights? Did you tuck them away, or remove entirely? If the latter, could you please share how you coded them to be deleted?

Maaco ran into issues with the paint originally, they used the wrong grade sand paper. They had to resand, reprime and repaint using adhesion promoter. I'm assuming they thought a simple hand sand and paint job would work, they were wrong. For the foglights, they are completely removed. Only the wires remains and that is tucked inside the bumper and I used bimmercode to deactivate fog light voltage monitoring. That deleted the faults for foglights.

If you are happy with it, that is what matters.
From the pictures, the paint doesn't match does it?
That wouldn't fly for me.

Oh and the first two photos was when it was at body shop, that's dust over hood, before a wash.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

Did you have to go into BimmerCode advanced coding? Any chance you could walk me through the step by step on where to go and what to code? Apologies, I’m planning this mod in the near future and have never gone into advanced mode via BimmerCode, conscious not to screw it up!

No you do not have to go into advance, or expert mode it's called I believe. Just connect using regular way then go to FCM Foot well module. Then go down to fog lamp voltage monitoring and set to "not active". Code car and you're all set.
