i like the ground effects :-) the higher shadow line on the doors, which are usually on the "rocket panels" awesome... reminds me of the a7 concept (just a lil)

lines are good, but I still hate those huge grills..
it does look like a baby 7 series.

i hate the hood line on the 7 and hate it here on the 5. by hood line i mean the line where the front bumper and hood meet. it just looks terrible and i think it over exaggerates how big that schnoz really is. the new lower grill of the 7 and 5 is also a disappointment. imho the e39 m5 was the best looking 5 series and the e60 second (never a huge fan of how the lights wrapped onto the fender). i will get off my soap box now. |

^^^ +1 ^^^ The rear taillights look like grandpa's Buick! I hope the rear is just a rendering!

I think it would just about be perfect if the kidneys where not so large and slightly angled. Currently, I think the E60 is sexier looking than the F10, but my opinion may very well change if the début of the F10 M5 looks anything like Jon Sibal’s rendering.

right now i give the f01 the benefit of the doubt, but already looking like a mini 7 which isnt a good thing, now people who buy this car will be seen like the people who cant afford the real thing. think they should give each series a personality of its own(space and weight already sounding like excuses).
by the way i hate those big squares, they dont look classy no more

But I agree with you regarding the styling being similar across the range. I liked the current/previous-generation line where each car expressed some different personality with its design, while all models still had some design commonalities. Don't get me wrong though, I like the look of the new cars more. Especially the more distinct line going down the side of the car. |

You can call it whatever you want, but it looks a lot more classy and elegant than the E60s.

The new 5
I saw the real car about 2 months ago. It looked like coming from the marriage of a new 7 and a 1 series. It was quite tall and looked bulky, with the ugly new-7 style taillight... Not very excited.
