I just spoke with the guys at OE Tuning and they are working on a tune for the F10 N63.
They said it should be released in late January. cant wait to see the gain's and there prices are always reasonable! |

They have been telling me I would have a tune since Oct. Just sayin. We really need some tuner support on this car. Both ESS and OE don't seem very motivated as they keep making claims that they cannot keep.

This is about the same gain as the Dinan it's just that only dinan quotes flywheel hp where every other tuner quotes whp which you can go verify at any local dyno. If you look up people who have dyno'd there Dinan 550's 50whp gain would seem to be right at Dinan stage 2 levels(except it's half the cost of course). I've spoken to roman@ESS several times in the last 6 months and I'm confident they'll have a badass tune soon. With them I see two huge advantages, first they bought a 550i which he said they plan on using to make alot of upgrades for and second they are infinitely more flexible than dinan so for example in my case I have AR Design catless DP's which if I get the Dinan tune will not be tuned for(and DP's need the tune) so I won't be optimizing my mods but ESS will tune for that.

Just remember to consider the support you receive. Purchasing an ECU for less money means squat if something goes wrong and your on your own.

They had the car there for a while but Shiv wasn't able to tune it so I took it back. It will be a few months before any other companies have tunes available but I'd bet that with in 60 days or so we'll have several options.

OE Tuning missed several promised release dates, making me loose faith in them. I decided to get the Dinan S2 instead, albeit, the price for their tune is truly outrageous. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet in life for certain things, or you may be left dreaming while others are enjoying your intended lifestyle ;-)
I now have a great tune and can enjoy my car today. I don't need to be checking these forums endlessly to determine whether anyone released an affordable tune, only to be further disappointed by waiting months and months. The F10 550 was released over a year ago, and there is not much, if any, selection in terms of economical tuning. It did cross my mind that it would make no economical sense to get a tune for half the Dinan price half way through my lease. Time is money. That is something one must certainly consider when leasing or planning to keep their car for a limited period of time before getting a new model. OE Tuning should have not have speculated on release dates when they were not even close to bringing their tune to the market. The latest info confirmed no release date, nor evidence that they are wrapping things up with the tune. That was a big turn-off that swayed me the other way. I do hope they release their tune soon.
