G Plus F10 Intercooler

New (replica) product released for the F10. Wonder if anyone is going to give this a shot? It appears to be very similar design to the Wagner and VRSF.

There is one F30 guy who swears by his G plus intercooler for street use, but if I recall correctly he has to sand part of the flange to get a perfect fitment.

Figures we wait all this time for the VRSF one to come out at a reasonable price just to have 2-3 months later china start cranking out Wagner clones for half the price of the the VRSF and 1/3rd the price of the Wagner! Fucking China! lol

Correct this a tube and fin intercooler and VRSF is bar and plate. Positives and negatives to both. I would assume the VRSF would have less gain in IAT's through repetitive pulls due to this.

The inlet and outlet also appear to be in different spots on the endtanks compared to VRSF. Wonder how this will impact installation.

Either way, options are good and we went from 1 to 3 in a matter of months!

Nice! That's a pretty good price. I wonder if anyone ordered this yet? Anyone willing to be a Guinea pig and report back?

At that price, it's worth a try. I have a VRSF, but at the moment can't recommend it due to still not having the correct bracket to properly mount it (unless you're having a mechanic install it that won't charge too much extra to customize the install).

It at least appears to have the correct mounting hardware.

Received mine today, it looks quality but seller on the eBay did not send me the mounting bracket and screws. I already sent a message to the seller and did not receive any reply yet.

They copied the dimensions, but thats about it.

Wagner is a tune and fin intercooler, this is a bar and plate.
Wagner is 40% lighter and will recover temps a lot faster

Actually it is Tube and Fin! What is the weight of the Wagner? I will weigh this one.

Yes it is the G-Plus. I got it yesterday. I will be doing a full post on it hopefully with install photos. I will have logs on stock tune with stock IC and New IC. I will also do a pull on MHD stage 2 with stock IC and with new IC. Mine did not come with instructions (not a big deal) or bolts and brackets (I can make the bracket no problem).I will post at least a picture of the brackets and Maybe I will do a CAD Drawing if them too.

Please post a DIY if possible along with any modifications needed. If this is the real deal I'll order it ASAP. Can't justify paying these enormous prices for IC when other models have them at much cheaper price points.

I agree the prices are way out of line compared to the more popular tuner cars. I guess they dont see the volume and want to make sure they recover their R&D/ Tooling expenses. I get it but still too high.

Thanks for the work in advance. Looking forward to seeing the results and if we have a cheaper alternative.

I just got mine today and installed it tonight. I didn’t get any hardware either, I just made 2 brackets from strapping I had in the garage. Did a couple preliminary pulls and with it heat soaked from idling IAT was dropping in a 2-3 gear pull. I’ll upload some logs tomorrow once I can get on the highway and go through 4th gear.

EDIT .... Did some pulls with the engine heat-soaked starting at 110 degress IAT in 3rd gear and it only rose to 114 through 5th gear (6spd MT).

Great bank for the buck!

Not bad, probably 1.5 hours. It was very straightforward, just difficult to get lined up with the IC pipes. I had to unclip the power steering line and pull it out of the way, once this obstruction is pulled aside it goes right in with a little persuasion.
