F10 Differential mount (rear) tool

Just finished replacing the rear diff mount on my F10. I purchased the tool to do this job which made replacing the mount much easier. This is a expensive and very common repair and it is not hard to do for a DIY as long as you have the proper tools.

If anyone here has this on their TO-DO list, I am willing to rent out the tool to help make this repair easier. Save yourself money and aggravation.

Please PM me for deatils.

Thanks, Jay

Does this tool save you the time of dropping the diff or does it still have to come out?

On my to-do list. Curious as to how long it took you?

Diff does not have to completely be removed. There are a few videos online on the procedure. Example:

All credit goes to the creator of that content.

I was doing the job on a hoist and I did drop my diff as I was intending to do a LSD as well but unfortunately the LSD unit was for the wrong application. The actual part of removing the mount took only about 15 minutes. As per expected it was removing everything else that took time.

From what I gather, causes clunking noises and a deterioration of handling.
