550 Software PLEASE
Geez I cannot believe there is so little demand that only Dinan can launch a US product. I have had so many broken promises from multiple vendors it is a joke. I hate buying Dinan since I had their SC on my e36 but I am ready to pull the trigger. Can someone pls tell me if they know something is coming. Just want to run a DP back free flow exhaust I built and a decent tune. Anyone have any info?

If you guys put 100 bucks away a month from the time you've been waiting I bet you could buy the dinan tune and not even notice. I'm not saying you guys can't afford it I'm saying waiting and waiting blows and I hear you guys loud and clear. I myself think its insane to dish out 3500 for a tune but if I would have waited I'd still be waiting and miss out on all the fun I've been having with the extra thrust and exhaust note. A dealer should be able to give you the tune installed with taxes for no more than 3700 tops. Yes its a lot but eating out, drinking, shopping etc..every month can add up and have the same affect the dinan price for the tune has its just all more spread out. On top of it you get the warranty and no software issues. I dunno. That's just my .02. I'm currently waiting for the dinan full carbon intake system to be released....taking forever. P.S. If there was a cheaper alternative that gave me the same if not better results then yeah I would be all over it. I hear you guys loud and clear. Just saying.

Also waiting for the Dinan Sale for Springs and Stage 2 or 3 Tune (hopefully to include cold air intake. MSRP Pricing is a bit over the top.

During a sale, the Dinan Dealer can also "do better" so it is not just a few dollars. I also plan to do the springs and CAI if available. Since I am waiting for my 20' wheels anyway, I have time. I also have a Viper to feed my need for speed. I do agree that $3700 for a tune is crazy expensive!

Its not the cash for me with Dinan. It is that not a single dyno has been done that I can find and the people who have gone to the track that I have read about have all been disappointed. This has happened with a lot of other Dinan products including the Stage II SC I owned on another car. That along with the fact that I would like to find a tuner who would be able to provide future tunes for other supporting mods is what has kept my car stock. I have had promises from 3 tuners for 9 months now.

+1 OP. i also do hear you. Same situation.
I am looking for the piggyback solution for a few reasons: 1. Not living in US; will not benefit from warranty 2. Want user adjustibility for future mods 3. Reversible tune 4. Remote software updating (at least vishnu & BMS) 5. Other reasons which I cant think about right now

Typically the Dinan sales come in the last quarter of the year. They announce in September-October, but there doesn't seem to be any info confirming other than the sales they have had the last 2-3 years at this timeframe.

There is also Hartge that has a cool set-up.
Seem like a great way to work around the factory software updates. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-16...10-550ixi.aspx Having it piggyback, and removable, makes it simple. not much reviews on it do???
