Rack and Pinion vs. Curb
Well fellas the girlfriend ran to the store today in the 535 and came back with the worst noise I have ever heard... She clipped a curb dead center (dont ask because I have no idea how she did it) lucky me she did not rip the front bumper off. However the way she hit the curb managed to be the corner which made a direct hit to my rack and pinion gear box on the hydraulic steering. It is the worst sound I have heard when you turn the car left and right with no change in direction. The steering wheel is fluid with no hang ups in either direction but sounds bad. I went up to BMW today and they quoted me at $1755 out the door which was surprisingly not quite as bad as I had expected but nonetheless sucks.
Long story short does anybody know of a good import shop in the Atlanta area that does good work at a reasonable price?? Thanks for the input |

Girlfriends always bring cars home with the most creative 'modifications'. You know you're doing well if they actually tell you about it before you discover it.
Wouldn't your insurance deductible be cheaper? Seems comprehensive coverage should take care of this. |

You know that is a great point. I will look into that tomorrow am. I just don't want my monthly insurance to go up as I have racked up quite a few tickets and its already outrageous.
