Reasonable pricing? Selling 2011 535i 6MT with bad motor
Hey everyone, I made the mistake of buying a 2011 535i with the 6 speed MT, non xdrive from auction. Clearly stated RUNS AND DRIVES… you know the story, I got it to towed to the house and it barely wants to crank on a hot battery. So I go taken for about $4,000. I don’t want to put any more money into the 5 series. What do you think a reasonable price is to sell it knowing it probably has a bad motor? 176,000 miles, very few dents and dings. I have had tons of people offer me $1000 on marketplace. Is that what it’s worth?

Part it out and it'll be worth more than the 1k offers.

Where are you located? I might be interested in it but it is a year that is problematic so it could be a several thousand dollars fix. Is the motor tight? Have you tried to turn it by hand?
