Here's my recently purchased 2012 F10 535xD. Moving from a 3-series, to 5-series is like a night&day difference! Loving it so far!

We bought my wife’s 3 Series new in 2011 and I got my ‘16 F10 in 2020. It is a huge upgrade over the E90, however the 3 still has the edge in driving pleasure. Even with KW V3 coilovers, reworked front suspension geometry for negative camber, and a square 275 tire package on light wheels (all which help immensely) the F10 still drives heavy; the 3 still drives like the much lighter car that it is.

I still like my 5 much better overall though! Cheers to the new ride!

I used to own a '98 E36 Coupe 320i and a '01 E46 Sedan 325i. Both of them feel a lot sportier than the F10 and feel a lot lighter, which they are. But the comfort in the F10 is on another level. Long drives don't feel as exhaustive now. Also, I'm kinda over the whole racing and drifting stuff now, thus why I got the F10. I wanna lay back and relax while driving, but still wanted to have some horses for comfortable overtaking when driving out of town, thus why I got the bigger engine.

Interesting hearing the 3 vs 5 comparisons! I agree with everything you've both said... my wife loves her 5, but I just can't fully dig it. Too big, too vague. But is sooooo nice for long drives! I do like the idea of a MT 535i though!

Yep, we drove my Wife’s E90 to Virginia Beach, about 12 hours South from Ottawa IIRC, and that was long enough. The F10 is a much more “effortless” cruiser, that’s for sure… I can get out after 4 hours and feel great, though I do have the ventilated seats which are not as comfy as the regular Comfort seats. For daily driving in hotter weather though, the ventilated seats are where it’s at!

A couple of photos at sunset, really enjoying how it looks with the front splitter.

Yes, it’s definitely a highway cruiser. We usually take it for our trips from SF to LA, and it makes the journey quite enjoyable and smooth. The best part is that your body doesn’t ache after that 6-7 hour drive.

That would be the way to make that trip! Hwy 101 cruiser!

What’s the difference between the splitter for the original M bumper and the M-Tech ones? As I can see them listed at different prices as well, and wondering which one I should get. Judging by photos, they look identical to me.

My F10 has the OEM M pack. Also want to add the rear bumper diffuser with the dual exhausts.

The M-Tech bumper is a replica of the OEM M-Sport bumper, so the splitters are likely identical in terms of fit and look.

I have a 2016 550i M-Sport, and I added both the front and rear carbon fiber splitters from RW Carbon. The front splitter was a bitch to install, but it ended up looking great. Here is the link to the post with the rear splitter: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=31564525

Bought this '11 535i a monthish ago. Sophisto on oyster/black twotone but the real kicker for me is 6mt. Originally non-msport but got oem sophisto msport sides and unfortunately, a mineral grey front bumper. H&R springs is lively with the EDC though

I'm absolutely in love with the modern comfort, having come from a '95 M3 as a daily driver and a '89 240 as my first car. I needed a 'modern' full size sedan with a manual and it was either this or a previous generation accord. No lady or kids yet but I think this'll be something I keep for a long time in preparation.

Checked the rear splitter post, looks dope! It's the exact one I want, though, I'm thinking of going for the Akrapovic Dual Exhausts xD

Beautiful! I have that color on my G30. Don’t know that I’ve ever seen it on the F10. Its slowly become one of my favorite BMW colors.
