525d F10 2010 engine coolant temp
Hi,
Is there a test or secret menu that provides the coolant temp info, at what temp should the radiator fan come on, never saw mine coming on and wondered if there's a problem. The 525d F10 2010 only has an engine oil temp gauge, no coolant temp gauge. Also the radiator has flap covers on the front , how and when do these open and close. I have not saw these flaps open so the radiator dose not get through draft when the car is moving. |

yes.
will just caveat that this works on my 2012 model with extended cluster . hold down the trip computer button for about 15 seconds or so. it will momentarily reset and then go back to whatever milage reading was on there. then the menu will pop up and using the same button, cycle through the options until youget to unlock. select that again and you will be asked for a number. now add up all of the last 5 digits of your vin and enter that in. (say it adds up to 30). cycle until you get to your calculated number and then use that and will then get the option of other items to see. coolant temp will be there and it is displayed along with oil temperature. |

Thought I'd add in some pictures as well.
you can see the menu to unlock, where you enter in the number (5digits of VIN added up) and the actual display - one of many items. |
