I agree - it’s a completely different experience from an ICE vehicle and these are only truly the first generation Tesla’s.

Personally the interior has no character for me. When you get into a BMW it’s lined with premium leather, plastics, alcantara, colored stitching and more. The dash/nav screen, climate controls and even iDrive controller have a sense of design and quality about it. The new single screen design in the i4 worries me as it’s a step away from the design cues in the current BMW’s. Kind of bland like Mercedes Benz tried the last few years by integrating a lot of the climate controls into the touch screen which sucks for many reasons.

Tesla has a lot of work to do to catch up to the quality of work being produced at BMW, although Tesla owners will say otherwise lol

I think when there is a new m3 the board has a sizable population of people who decided this is the brand and badge for them, so they just lease them until the day they die so they can always flex they have a new one. They're not really interested in cars, driving, motorsports, car culture, or engineering. I'm sure Tesla will have that same kind of buyer as well laughing their ass off at the i4 buyers or similar.

Care to elaborate on their battery tech lead? Reality is that their battery "tech" is from Panasonic. It's industry standard technology that they had no hand in developing. Every other manufacturer has access to the same tech and so do you if you own any battery powered tools like a drill or a lawnmower. Their market share in the EV space is also something that is probably going to vaporize in the next few years as car manufacturers who actually know how to produce cars (most notably from the VW group and Hyundai Kia) start introducing even more EVs into the market. They will smoke tesla in build quality, fit and finish, variety and value.

I’ve read their battery tech is actually inferior to the likes of Taycan or I4 etc.
Tesla will be over. And their dbag crowd will have to find another car to congregate over. Such a shame first Prius now Tesla. What is going to be the next car that will collect all of them around?

Tesla is 10 years ahead of everyone and everyone plays catch up. When other car makers make upgrades, it comes at a premium and tesla will still be a step ahead.

Let's face it. Not everyone likes tesla but elon is a fucking smart ass dude.
