Nope nope nope, I'm sure this has the dreaded Timing chain problem just waiting to blow the motor up. I have a 2012 528i and just had a brand new motor replaced under the CPO warranty. I had 74,500 miles and now back to 0! . Try to find a later year preferably late 2015 and up

Please read this:

https://bmwtechnician.com/2016/08/07...g-chain-issue/

This is how I came to realize of the timing chain issue and took it in to the dealer for them to take a look

I say you find a 535i x-drive, my 2011 is still going solid at 80K miles.

Agreed, my 2011 535xi has been the most reliable BMW I owned, including 2 E46s and an E60! Only at 42k miles

Out of warranty? Hold out for a 535. Change the oil every 5k mi, warm it up good and wind it up near red at least once every drive and it'll be a super-reliable motor.

That's what I'm doing with mine! I drive it maybe once a week but that's my regimen and it's very healthy!
