Have you got the hot-side to seat properly? It looks like the the inlet is pressing down on the hot-side. Maybe that's why the stock inlet has that dimple? I think if you bend the metal fastener closer to the block it won't press on the hot outlet. Maybe no fastener at all at the top of the inlet and let the metal have some play up there. The lower connecting piece of course need to be secured.

Got mine to seat using a crowbar. Pushed it up and secured the clip. Also stuck a crow bar in the inlet and bent it closer to the block.

Looks like I'm keeping my inlet. After back and forth with FCP and BMW, I found that the top portion of the pipe has stretched significantly from the temporary inlet setup I had.
So now I've just ordered the F10 version which will bolt right up. These cars are a real pain, can't wait to get it all back together proper!

Yes my M5 is paid off, and it makes closer to 800hp I've posts hundreds of photos of my own cars and work in great detail, how anyone but you would doubt claims made is beyond me. I personally don't post often on here because well I don't have a 535i anymore, I moved on to the M5, and I've spent the last year doing a concours quality rotisserie E30 restoration where all my time and and about $50k is sunk. |

Wow, I want whatever Dollar Bill is on. Anyone that doubts I have on my car what I claim is welcome to check it out in person. Several members of this forum have seen my car in person and know it is 100% what I claim it is.
The thing is my car runs great, and while you can spend forever tweaking the last bit of power from it, it works as is so I haven't changed it much. I bought the car with 45k miles and I am 83k miles now. I love the car and drive the snot out of it. In the past year I have had other things take priority over this car and it truly has worked so well I just haven't been posted any changes because...I haven't changed anything. Car wise, my track e36 M3 has occupied most of my time lately, and I finally got to put on track this weekend. Off to download my GoPro video now...If you want proof I can send that to you...
