Any chance 18x9 (281) will fit F10 front?
I think I already know the answer but will ask nevertheless to hear from more knowledgeable folks here than myself..
Is there any chance that 18x9J wheels (style 281) will fit F10 (X Drive) Fronts in (for a square setup)? Additionally whats the narrowest tire width that can be installed on a 9" wide rim? Thanks! |

Square 9x18" ET44 will be possible to fit. But you will probably like 12-15mm spacers all around.
235/45, 245/45 or 255/45-18 tires depending on what fitment you are looking for (stretched or more square sidewalls). |

I already have 12mm & 15mm spacers so thats good. Could there be issues in the front of rubbing while turning, suspension clearance, considering that these are 18, not 19?. 245 would be my preference but fine with 255 as well. |

I appreciate your link: however online calculator can only provide an estimate - I am concerned about the struts/spring clearance in the front: Here is what the calculator says with 245/40/18 tires Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 20.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 7.6mm less than before. ps: Style 281, 18" rears (9J) are on a fire sale at BMW USA and nearly 60% cheaper than 8J at this time and I want to see if I can use a square setup of 9J to save. |

12mm front and 15mm rear spacers will be fine with those wheels and tire sizes! |

What size spacers do I need up front with 18 x 8 wheels and 245/45/18? I recently switched to this tire size for my winter setup and when I removed them I noticed they are rubbing on the suspension.
