I have a 2011 f10 with the ambient lighting package that is just the amber color on the door trims and pockets. I am wanting to add it to the dashboard, including under the idrive screen and headlight switch- maybe change the rest of the lighting to multicolor, as shown in the pic. Anyone do anything like this? Suggestions?

I also have a 2011 F10 and I am interested in doing this mod. The lighting in that picture you posted is badass!! I am sure that many F10 owners would be interested in doing this. I am researching it currently. Hopefully some other members will jump in and together we can sort this out and write up a DIY on this mod..Where you find that picture ?

But just make sure you buy the more expensive unit with the 9 color options if you want more than red and blue. I believe the 2color systems have a button on the LED strip to change the colors, the 9 color unit has 2 options depending on whether it's NBT or not, for NBT you control thru iDrive (I believe) whereas I have to manage color and brightness thru my radio keys. But if your interested I can try and put together a write-up/how-to. Just need temps above 40/50's, my desk job has made me a sissy for cold temps.

Here's a video installing colored ambient lighting for pre-LCI F10's. It's only $50. I would probably splurge, but I have an LCI F10. Grant is a member here.
