Yes. I am having the same problem with my 2011 550ix with Dynamic Drive. I know what the problem is: I have a hole in the rear pressure hose. Getting it fixed is beginning to be a nightmare.

It sits at dealer waiting to be diagnosed since Thursday. I had it towed there from a local independent that didn't want to deal with the replacing the part because they claimed that if they opened the system it would lead to the death of the pump due to the debris that would enter the system. I have a third party extended warranty which probably will not cover it since it is a "hose". I will let you know more as I find out.

Great, please keep me posted. I got the message a week and a half ago after my car was out in 15 degree temps all day and then didn't come back for a week when my car was parked out in similar temps all day. Suspension feels fine so I am hoping it has something to do with the extreme cold weather. A faulty sensor maybe?? Were you getting the message on every start-up?

I know exactly what the problem; I have a hole in the rear pressure hose causing a loss in fluid. The problem is getting it fixed. I am still waiting for the dealership to get back to me with an estimate and reply from my third party warranty company. They have had the car since Thursday when I had it towed there. I anticipate that they will come back with a extremely high estimate with involves replacing all the hoses and claiming they will need to drop the the rear suspension. I am guessing $3k. I have told they that I only want the one hose replaced if it is not covered by warranty.

Were you getting the message on every start up? Was the handling in your car noticeably any different?

I don't have much to update as yet except to say my car still ins't fixed. The dealer has had it two weeks as of last Thursday; I have at least had a loaner car for the last week.

The estimate is $1050 to replace the two pressure hoses (37106792441, 37106792442) and refill the system. They are both on back order which is accounting for part of the delay. Only one hose had what appeared to be a puncture but they "come in pairs." This will not be covered by my third party warranty as it is "hoses".

There is much more to this story but I want to wait until I have my car back to unload all the details. To say that I am disappointed in an understatement.

Thanks for the update. I haven't gotten the error message in a few weeks and my suspension feels normal. Pretty weird.

I got that message once before (11 535i). I checked the reservoir level and under the car for leaks. Fluid level was fine and no leaks. After restart the message went away and hasn't returned.

After getting this message a single time back in December, I am now getting it on a regular basis, but still not on every start-up. Car still drives fine, but I will get it checked out in the next week or two when I bring my car to an Indy mechanic for another issue I am having. Hoping it is just a bad sensor since it is so intermittent. I need to figure out the correct reservoir to check the oil level for this system.

hi mate,

Just wondering how you resolved this issue?

I just got the error crop up when i changed my 535i 2011 into "Sport" suspension mode.

Dont notice any leaks on the driveway though.

This started happening to me after a local German auto shop in Houston had done a lot of work on my vehicle. Any time the car got up to temperature, the reservoir started to overflow. This happened faster when the car was in SPORT mode. They replaced the reservoir without any luck. Another mechanic did the same and was not able to further diagnose any issues. I took it in to my local BMW dealer and they replaced a couple hoses, but the problem persisted. They eventually suggested replacing the pump - a $2700 job. I messaged some others on here and they all said that they replaced the pump. I sourced the pump and all hardware for $900 and had another highly recommended mechanic do the labor for $900. I have now driven my car from Austin to Dallas and back without a drip coming from the cap.

If your reservoir is leaking from the cap, run the car for 15min in SPORT mode with dynamic suspension turned on. Then park the car and keep it running. Unscrew the cap (you may have to buy an unusually large hex to do this) and look at the fluid coming back from the return line. If you see foamy greenish-yellow fluid coming from the line, the pump is likely faulty and somehow sucking air into the line. After removing the old pump from my vehicle, neither I nor my mechanic could see any obvious issues. There was no fluid leaking from the pump beforehand either.

I replaced the following parts, but I might suggest replacing just the suction pipe, o-ring, and the reservoir first before replacing the pump if you are willing to experiment. You may be able to save the price of installing a new pump The reservoir has a built in particle filter which is nearly impossible to clean out. I drove my car with this light coming on intermittently for over a year and a half before I got it fixed.

It should also be noted that after replacing these parts, the car should have the proper bleed and startup procedure run on it using ISTA or something similar. This is an active procedure where the ARS system engages and rolls the body side to side.

I get this message Every day, several times a times a day. I have no leaks, but I go through oil faster than fuel. Please help! Is this a fluid I can purchase and top off?

It only happens in the morning or with the system is not warm. Especially in cold conditions. I’m testing ruining in Sport Mode with Chassis only. Other then that leak is not present
