Anyone blow a speaker?
I just picked up a 2011 CPO 535 with the Sixteen speaker system that comes with the Premium 2 Package. At normal volumes, no problem, but when I decided to turn it up, the treble out of the right door speaker (above the armrest) sounds super crackly. Doesn't matter if I am on Sat radio, CD, iPhone audio, or whatever. I am trying to mess with the equalizer settings but no luck. Could I have actually blow a speaker out??

I cannot say your problem is the same as mine but this is what I recently experienced.
I just had my battery replaced at 1 year 3 months old 10,400 miles because it was critically low and would not hold a charge. There seems to be an issue with the battery in the F10 if the car is not driven a lot. Short trips do not allow it to fully charge and it can get to a critically low level. The battery can become damaged and unable to recover to a full charge, requiring replacement prematurely. Coincidentally, I started to experience what sounded like a blown speaker in the front passenger door just before my battery failed. It was obvious something was wrong. My car was towed to the dealer when it completely died. I asked the dealer to check on the speaker during the same service visit as the battery replacement. They could not find anything wrong with it and the vibration sound went away when the new battery was installed. My car was doing weird things with the low battery. It is believed that the stereo amplifier was not getting proper power and caused the speaker to act up. No problems now.

Hmmm. Drove my car today and the cracking sound is gone. Intermittent problems suck because they never happen when you bring it to the dealer. Lol

Yes, I've blown a speaker on my 2012 550i. I used to work for a car stereo installer so I ran a test CD to identify the defective mid-range door speaker and tweeter.
Took the car to the dealership and their techs also ran an audio diagnostic. The techs replaced the defective speakers at no charge. Good luck.

Well the weird part is that the crackling is completely gone.. like it never happened
I'll see how it goes in the next couple of weeks. Perhaps the amp got overheated?

2013 535i with speaker grille resonance
I have a front driver speaker grille resonance problem with B&O System. Dealer cannot fix, B&O cannot fix, BMWNA cannot fix. Any Suggestions?

I have a few that are sounding weird, only on certain frequencies though. Dealer thinks it's actually the case for the speaker, not the speaker itself. Having them replaced soon and will see if that fixes it.
