Sun roof has stopped tilting.

My sunroof has topped tilting but still slides. Also, the one touch function has also stopped working except for the blind, which works perfectly!

Does anyone have any ideas before I take it to the dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Google 'F10 sunroof reset'. Good luck.

keep pressing the tilt button until your car completely finished the cycle (opening, closing, closing the lid)

Sunroof reset is in your owners manual...the physical manual as well as the one built into iDrive...which has search feature.

Has the car been disconnected from a power source recently (like battery disconnected)? If so, then the sunroof needs to be reset according to the owners manual (again, you have two sources).

Take note that the vehicle should be stationary (idling) and the ENGINE must be RUNNING!

Thanks for the replies.

All sorted now, although I'm confused as to why it needed resetting as there has been no break in power and everything else is working fine.

Don't you own a computer or have a wifi station at home? It can be a common occurance --- that's how the word reboot became a verb in the 70's and then a noun a little later

Had the same issue with my E31. Every thing seemed to be fine, but it turned out that the battery (2 of them, actually) was going bad, and there was a voltage drop when the car sat for periods of time.

Is the clock correct in your car? I also noticed it would be off by a few min as the batteries degraded.
