Non comfort access key fob work on comfort access?

Here’s the deal, i want to verify before I sell my extra key fob. Came from a 2014 550i no comfort access. Is this fob programmable for a car with comfort access? Given its same year, or same type of key.

The simple answer is no.
They are not interchangeable, reprogrammable or transferable.
BMW pretty much has a lock on this.

Thank you for your response. I wasn’t sure and don’t wanna sell it if it’s not gonna work with comfort access.

True, but there is a way to get a used key to work

The transponder chip in the key fob can only been written once, but eBay sellers have new transponder chips that can make a used key like a new key.

Not saying it is impossible, but you would need the tools, talent and knowledge to change chips. Then the new tools and knowledge to program the new chip.
Good luck with that.
